EDIT: The dialogue is bothering me. Should I change it? Hmmm...
Dang. That hit me pretty hard. It shouldn't have, but it did. For those who haven't figured it out already, Wayne Allwine, the most recent voice actor of Mickey Mouse died 10 days ago after problems with diabetes. I'm surprised I didn't hear anything about this at all. I mean, IT'S MICKEY MOUSE. I don't know about you, but Mickey Mouse has been the absolute number one inspiration to me. Not only in drawing, but a wonderful reminder of how amazing my childhood was with Mickey in it. We all know him, some loved him, some hated him, but we all still know him as a cartoon character loved by young children around the world and who will continue to inspire young cartoonists to be like Disney. And what makes Mickey Mouse, well, Mickey Mouse are his voice actors. Wayne Allwine is the only one whom I heard Mickey's voice before I knew about Walt Disney and Jimmy MacDonald. I loved Allwine's rendition of Mickey. He got Mickey's fun laugh and overall adorable personality. I mean, seriously. HE WAS IN KINGDOM HEARTS, GOSH. Do you know how hard it'll be to play those games now without crying a little bit? Well, I know it'll be hard for me. What's going to be hard is to find another actor for Mickey. I hope Disney will be able to find one as magical as Wayne Allwine. AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S EVEN HARDER FOR ME TO HANDLE? Wayne's wife, Russi Taylor (who is still alive) does the voice of Minnie Mouse. AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH, I'M OVEREXAGGERATING. But I am pretty bummed about this. The least thing I could do was make a simple tribute for Mr. Allwine. Sorry if Mickey looks off here. Drawing him without a reference on Tegaki E is....not easy. Haha. I hope you guys enjoy.
